Project Description:
The Customer Account Data Engine (CADE) project will incrementally design, develop and implement a data foundation that includes the creation of on-line transactional processing data stores of “record” for taxpayer returns and accounts. It will replace the existing tape-based master files and integrated Data Retrieval System (IDRS) with new technology, new applications and new data bases. CADE will allow employees to post transactions and update taxpayer accounts and return data from their desks.
The Integrated Product Team (IPT) will analyze, design and develop the CADE solution modifications to the modernized applications and the associated CADE interfaces required to accommodate/interface with the Current Processing Environment (CPE) Individual Master File (IMF) and other external systems. This team will also provide technical support for all of the CADE testing phases and the operational deployment period included in the scope of the project
